Widgetbook closes pre-seed round

We're very excited to announce our pre-seed funding round led by early-stage VC Peak, accompanied by leading European business angels. The funding will be used to double down on our efforts to bring Widgetbook to market, with the aim of closing the gap between design and code.

We closed our pre-seed funding round in October this year. Lead investor is the European early-stage VC Peak who has deep expertise in SaaS and has invested in Trengo, Hygraph, Circula. The group of angel investors joining us this round consists of Emma Tracey, Jakob Rehermann, Jag Singh with Angel Invest, Johannis Hatt, Kajetan Uhlig, Paul Hofmann with Expedite Ventures, Philip Petersen and Tim Seithe.

The goal of this funding round is to bring Widgetbook to market and serve Flutter teams around the globe. We are proud to be part of a vibrant open-source community. Together with you, and enabled by this funding, we want to create an infrastructure for the Flutter universe that allows developers and designers to create outstanding products.

Contributing to the open-source Flutter ecosystem in close collaboration with the community by improving and maintaining our open source package will thus be an integral part of the coming months. These goals converge in Widgetbook's mission to close the gap between design and code.

About Us

Widgetbook was founded in January 2022 by Lucas (CEO), Jens (CTO) and Julius (COO) in Paderborn, Germany. Widgetbook accelerates and simplifies collaboration in software teams. The usage of Widgetbook is a daily routine of UI/UX designers and developers to ensure that UIs are implemented error-free. What currently takes dozens of Slack messages, screenshots, emails and synchronous meetings take just one click with Widgetbook. Based on our open-source package, we provide a software-as-a-service collaboration platform to bridge the gap between design and code.
